connect procontrol to protools
If the ProControl desk is found to be unresponsive or unconnected then the following procedure should cure the problem.
|
setup pro control for 5.1
To monitor in 5.1 the desk must be setup to be compatible with 5.1 situations. To enable 5.1 monitoring the following sequence of buttons must be engaged:
Utility
Monitor
Mode
Surround
The same sequence is used to setup stereo monitoring but select stereo instead of surround in the final stage of the sequence.

To setup for optimum listening a noise should be generated within Pro Tools using a 'noise generator' plug-in located in the Insert section of the channel strip. The operator should sit in the correct position in regards to the Genelec 5.1 surround array and the generated noise should be panned around the array ensuring the same level is audible throughout each loudspeaker. The noise is associated to a channel strip, this is then controlled by the motorised joystick and the noise is moved around the array using this control.
